Lynn Brucker's stylin' Adventure Cycle!
Lynn took her time replacing a classic '70's Paramount touring bike with her custom geometry 1900 Adventure Cycle and had some very special requests, including a second water bottle boss set on the top of the down tube to allow room for her frame pump on the seatmast.
The distinctive purple decal set on HyperCanary Yellow didn't seem to out of the ordinary until we saw the photo below.
Lynn offered the following comments on her bike:
"It rides well. I was worried a true touring bike might be too sluggish - but the LBS claimed the 1900 was not that way - and they were right. When I had the dimensions set up identical to the P-15 Paramount (including seat the same distance behind the pedals) the two bikes felt very different. On the Paramount I felt I was much more "over the pedals" than on the Waterford. Amazing that the frame geometry produces that different a position feel.
"I have ridden it on some club rides and I have no problem sticking with the fast group (even with the fatter tires, fenders and racks). On light wheels and skinny tires it may have the feel of a racing bike (I don't have any wheels with an appropriate cassette that I could try). It is solid and stable, but it is quick enough to be fun too.
"Many thanks for a fine bicycle.
